The rig is expected to move the first major loads on Saturday February 10. Please check with myself before mobilizing equipment & personnel however, depending on point of origin, I’d expect most equipment needed for the spud of well to be given go ahead to mobilize early next week. Other equipment needed later in the well (eg for coring, running production casing, etc) wont be mobilized until a little later based on when needed (check with me first). I’ll be reviewing with Century the expected spud date and will put out a revised services schedule later today or tomorrow. Site maps and other information such as freight forwarding address will also be recirculated. I’ll also be reviewing with Century and service companies when personnel can be onsite to see if it’s feasible to proceed with the pre-spud meeting on Tuesday February 13. Please respond as to whether your site personnel or a representative could be present in the Otway (near the CRC-1 site) on (a) Tuesday Feb 13, (b) Thursday Feb 15, or (c) either date. Please respond by e-mail on availability. We expect we’ll finalise date by tomorrow. If we can get service company representatives together its possible we could have a technical pre-spud meeting even if some of the rig crew are still in Gippsland. Rig Status: The rig was released from Karoon Gas Pty Ltd’s Megascolides 2 at 1800 hrs on Saturday February 3 and has since been preparing on the basis of a move to the Otway. Trucks are being mobilized for moving on Saturday February 10.
